Business After the Storm
LYNCHBURG, VA June 12, 2018 – The tornado hitting Central Virginia on April 15, 2018 had a large impact on businesses, both large and small.
One building receiving significant damage was Point Source Audio-Music on Timberlake Road. The roof was literally torn off resulting in water damage to the warehouse and office areas of the building “The damage we received was significant and we are still in the process of replacing some of our large inventory items, instruments and accessories,” explains Tom Thornton, co-owner of the locally owned business. Luckily, our main showroom and all displayed inventory were not affected by the storm.
Their team of supporters and staff quickly came together to clean up, relocate, and stock another facility within weeks to continue offering services and supplies to their valuable customers. Point Source continues to specialize in sound system installation, retail instruments/accessories, and instructional space for independent music teachers. Their inventory of accessories includes: speakers, amplifiers, strings, audio cables, sound equipment, synthesizers, microphones, hard and soft cases, mixers, and more.
